I’m Christine, the Founder and Creative Artist behind By CH Atelier, based in Sydney, Australia.

My calligraphy journey began in 2018 as an escape from my busy corporate life as an IT marketer. What started with the elegant Copperplate Script soon evolved into Modern Calligraphy, and a year later, I challenged myself to master the intricate art of hand engraving.

Combining these skills and techniques, I embarked on a special mission—to personalise the signage and wedding guest gifts for my own wedding. And so I did! That experience ignited a deep passion for creating meaningful, personalised art.

Since then, I’ve continued to grow as an artist, experimenting with a wide range of scripts, surfaces, and tools to craft truly one-of-a-kind pieces. Today, I specialise in bespoke calligraphy, hand engraving, and hot foiling services, each created with precision and care for both live on-site events and in-studio projects.

As a classically trained artist, I’m devoted to creating elegant, timeless keepsakes that tell your story. Every piece is lovingly scribed and etched—one thoughtful stroke at a time—whether from my humble studio or live at your next event.
